Cabinet refinishing is not a simple or quick process. That may sound elitist, as most people believe that you just strip the old paint off and then apply the new paint.
So, if you are wondering why the cost to refinish your cabinets is higher than some cabinet refinishers, it has to do with quality. Here is our process:
All doors and drawers are brought to the shop.
All doors and drawers are degreased.
All doors and drawers will be sanded.
All doors and drawers will get one coat of wood conditioner.
All doors and drawers will get 3 coats of wood coating in the back and four in the front.
Before we start all contour tops and floors will be protected with ram board.
All appliances will be covered with plastic.
We build a barrow wall to keep in all the overspray and dust.
Then we do the same cabinet refinishing process as above for the doors and drawers.
The work we do should last ten years or more, depending on the wear and tear of your cabinets. Also, as I stated in previous blogs, you will know due to sure signs when your cabinets need blogs, you will know due to sure signs when your cabinets need to be refinished.
